This needs to be combined

with the discussion threads that are already started http://180degrees.wetpaint.com/thread/2333376/Photo+ContestCombine forces with the two classes and think big on this one! We've already discussed using winners as the website top photo and possibly using them for publication and illustrations in future versions of the 180 workbook! Do you find this valuable?

Exactly. I've only had one student in 4th period step up to write a project proposal but there are several people interested in helping with it. Is there someone stepping up in 1st? If not, can Collin write up the proposal and enlist help from both groups? We need to communicate and collaborate on this between teams because it could be huge. The implications of this could easily include yearbook, the 180 handbook, magnet fair marketing, and a traveling show to Triangle Town Center, NC Museum of Art, Raleigh Little Theater and possibly more. I think part of the problem is too much talk and not enough organization of the idea on the wiki. Don't forget, collaborating with the Digital Arts CFLC means more people entering the contest and the resources to print it on the Glicee printer. They need to be kept in the loop as well. BTW- I think this page is in the process of being editted by Collin this weekend as his project proposal. He was going to upload a file at the end of the 4th period but I encouraged him to make a whole web-page using the project proposal form template. He was just making progress when he had to leave to catch his bus. Unlike uploading a finished document, we can see the draft versions before he's actually ready to submit. Let's give him a couple of days to finish editing it before reviewing it for feedback. Saturday is his b-day and he might need more time- happy b-day!

No problem. I'm trying to clean up and keep the site organized. We're getting duplication in pages, proposals and discussion threads and are just figuring out how to add content so that ideas can be found and seen by everyone. I think having each project proposal be a separate page under "SRMHS" is going to get cumbersome. Links may be more effective here-- we'll have to keep playing and experimenting.
