SRMHS Issue BinThis is a featured page

The day following the first Interclub Leadership Council, we began a process for collecting feedback from both groups called the Issue Bin. Every 1st team member was encouraged to respond on a post it note and add to the Issue Bin poster as a suggestion, complaint, compliment, or question. The 4th period team was invited to do the same and then sorted the many comments into categories. We addressed each comment in a small group and each of the main categories as a whole group. The following is a summary of the answers that regard 180. Anything that pertains to Interclub is posted on an Interclub Issue Bin so the other student leaders can read, respond, and discuss. The hope is that this issue bin will HELP resolve some of the conflict issues between the two teams rather than to spark more controversy. Add your feedback to any issue but be sure to give your name.

How often to meet between 180 teams
Harrell's response: This was discussed in several post it notes in regards to ILC as well as the two 180 teams. The conflict is that we have too many members involved in different activities that meet on different days. Mrs. Brown and I have been working on 'in-house' field trip ideas to do the same thing without conflicting with sports or other club activities. The fabulous pancake breakfast hosted by 1st is only the beginning. We'd like to invite 1st period to join 4th for refreshments in a couple of weeks.

Communication between teams/ Power Struggle
Harrell's response: The 4th period team agreed that both teams hadn't used the wiki to its fullest potential to communicate. Similar comments included that 4th period should include 1st period more. Hopefully, the new process for developing committees will give structure for projects both teams want to participated in. Any other ideas?

Class Officers
Harrell's response: In response to the 1st period post it note written "we need to have a president, secretary, and treasurer for each class," a couple of the 4th period members agreed that representatives would be helpful. However, the discussion that followed focused on how each team member should be a leader and that might go against the spirit of the course. Feedback?

Tee Shirts
Harrell's response: "Why are we going to have two different tee shirts?" We are currently trying to resolve a win-win for the tee shirts by having a poll between the joint tee shirt committee.

Miscellaneous
Harrell response:
Various comments "our team rocks" and "Mrs Brown rocks" which we agreed. Several positive comments such as "'great snacks," "1st and 4th shouldn't be compared," "good Interclub outcome for the amount of people that showed up."

If we didn't address your concern, please add it below as a discussion thread.
