Project Manager: Neel Mandavilli

Project Description:
Through using the two 180 classes as mediums, we hope to educate all of the A/C classes in the school in what Smart lunch is, and how it will work. Members of the project will be trained in highlighting the positive impacts of Smart Lunch on the school, and how Smart Lunch will benefit students, staff, and faculty.

Project Rationale:
SMART lunch will benefit the entire school by enabling students to use their extra lunch time for curriculum enhancement opportunities. By informing A/C's of the benefits of SMART lunch, students in SRMHS will be aware of how the lunch works, and will therefore be able to help in making it run smoothly. SMART lunch will enable our school to use it's time more effectively, and therefore more efficently.

Resources Needed: This is the 1st draft of what you think your project will need to be successful
  • Number of team members: As many as possible. (We need to spread the info FAST)
  • Any specific skill sets needed on the team? Ability to communicate to AC's and other people about SMART lunch, Presentation/Speaking skills.
  • Meeting space and equipment: Portable Projector, Laptop, Classroom for informational/training session on how to communicate messages effectively.
  • Supplies list (attach if needed): Portable Projector, Laptop (w/ microsoft powerpoint)

Project Timeline/Calendar: Inform all A/C's of SMART lunch by the first week after Spring Break. Recent updates from Mr. Billingsley:
Our goal is for the students to visit AC's on both days. We will need to divide the Senior and Junior AC's on March 31st and April 1st. The following week will be the Sophomore and Freshman AC's on April 7, 8th. April 14th will be the official start date. I will save a copy of the PPT to the teacher share folder. You can also download it here to review (link will be updated by 3/23) or save to your Smart Drive.

We'll need a lot of team members to make communication about this a success. Drop a note if you're interested in helping to plan & present!
