MORE ABOUT ME...
I joined this wiki because: I'm one of the facilitators for the pilot course at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High.
The best word to describe me is: whole-hearted
My hero(es): Marion Wright Edelman, Queen Elizabeth I, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, my grandparents, any published writer :-)
What I hope to get from the 180 Degrees Program: Nothing less than a chance to help change the world :-)
If I could live anywhere, it would be: Anywhere with access to a teleporter and time machine so I could travel to all places and times on a whim. But right here in Raleigh has been a pretty perfect place to raise a family & teach.
My dream job(s): Producing Broadway shows, being a wedding planner to the stars, or singing lead in a rock and roll band. Or maybe: producing a Broadway show about a wedding planner who quits her day job to go on a concert tour. Hey, you never know.
Other fascinating facts about me: I spent a summer working as a tavern wench at a Renaissance Faire. My husband and I 1st met in seventh grade homeroom. My kids are both named after literary characters. I don't like coffee.
I sometimes spend 10 hours or more a week in church on assorted projects and activities. I have been known to mix my peanut butter and jelly together before spreading it on the bread. The rest you'll have to figure out as the time goes by ;-)
My husband Mark & I celebrated our 21st anniversary this fall with a trip to Aruba
